Melissa Allen is absorbed in a novel, “Counting on Grace” by Elizabeth Winship, while waiting on Bennington’s Main Street for a school bus to deliver her son. Allen was reading the book as part of her studies at the Tutorial Center. “It’s about a bunch of mill workers,” she said.
