Students watch as Zia, an Afghan exchange student whose last name is being withheld to protect his family, prays Thursday at the Oak Hill Children's Center in Pownal. Zia helped the children wash their hands before he served an Afghan meal. Whitten Coyne was among the girls who wore head scarves during Zia's visit to the school.
