Members of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 1861, and volunteers prepared and delivered about 1,100 Thanksgiving meals for the poor, the sick and elderly around the Bennington area on Wednesday.

Peter Rubin, who survived a fiery car crash last year, made an appearance. Jonathan Bombard, owner of the pub, was among those who pulled Rubin from the wreckage.
